Amber Green Selected as an Unsung Hero Finalist

by

Women in Technology (WIT), is an organization that focuses on contributing to the success of professional women in the DMV’s technology community. In January they announce the finalist for their 23rd Annual Leadership Awards. This annual awards program identifies, recognizes and celebrates female professionals who are leaders in the technology field and bring a unique talent to the industry. Our very own Amber Green was selected as a finalist for the Unsung Hero category. She was nominated for this award due to her impeccable leadership skills , hard work, and community engagement efforts. She has been working with the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) for more than 10 years in the Division of Childcare. The agency relies on her to help them navigate through challenging application upgrades, system deployments, and enhancements. She is also supporting the external information technology vendors who are developing the application. Amber is the “Brain Trust” of the CCATS system. She has also been engaged in her community by volunteering through professional organizations such as Black Data Processing. Amber Green is the image of an Unsung Hero. Women in Technology will announce the winner in May at their 23rd Annual Leadership Awards.
