Our Story
BITHGROUP was founded by Robert L. Wallace in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood in 1992.
The company began with a clear belief: difficult problems can be solved when capable people are given the opportunity, the right tools, and the responsibility to deliver.
From the beginning, BITHGROUP grew by earning trust, building lasting relationships, and doing the work well. That approach still guides us today.
More than 30 years later, BITHGROUP supports government agencies, healthcare organizations, energy leaders, infrastructure organizations, and private companies. We help clients improve operations, use data more effectively, manage change, strengthen energy and utility programs, and make better technology decisions.
A New Home in the University of Maryland BioPark
In 2026, BITHGROUP moved from its longtime home in Mount Vernon to the University of Maryland BioPark.
The move represents more than a new address. The BioPark places us within a growing community of researchers, institutions, entrepreneurs, and companies working across healthcare, technology, and the life sciences. It creates new opportunities for collaboration and brings us closer to organizations shaping Baltimore’s next chapter of innovation.
